Tekcon Services is a trusted provider of professional Tekla Structures training designed specifically for Steel Detailers working in the U.S. Imperial environment.

Founded in 2017 by Paul McLeod, Tekcon Services helps detailers, fabricators, and engineering professionals gain the practical skills needed to succeed with industry-leading 3D BIM software.

Founder Paul McLeod brings over 34 years of hands-on experience in the structural steel detailing and construction industries. After studying Mechanical Engineering at college, Paul began his career at the global steel detailing firm BDS Steel Detailers (now DBM Vircon), who have been involved in large-scale iconic U.S. and Australian projects such as:

World Trade Centre, New York
Palazzo Hotel, Las Vegas
Olympic Dam Mine, SA
Fondation Loius Vuitton, Paris

As an early adopter of AutoCAD and later Xsteel (now Tekla Structures), Paul quickly became a leader in implementing digital tools for the steel industry. In the mid-1990s, he played a pivotal role in introducing Tekla Structures software to both the Australian and U.S. markets. During his time at Pacific Computing, Paul led training, implementation, and technical support services before becoming General Manager.

Since founding Tekcon Services, Paul has worked with over 150 clients to streamline workflows, increase modeling efficiency, and get real results from their investment in Tekla Structures software.

Today, Tekcon Services offers flexible, self-paced online Tekla training courses focused on the U.S. Imperial system. These courses are ideal for steel detailers, engineers, fabricators, and contractors who want to master the fundamentals of Tekla Structures in a real-world context.
